Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park

Your 5-day Aberdare, Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari begins in Nairobi. For travelers seeking an adrenaline-filled start, the day can begin with an optional bungee-jumping experience, subject to availability and package arrangements.
After the morning adventure, continue towards the Aberdare region and enjoy lunch at a country club before proceeding into the beautiful Aberdare highlands.
Aberdare National Park is characterized by lush forests, mountain streams, waterfalls and open moorlands. The area is also home to a remarkable variety of wildlife and bird species, with opportunities to spot forest antelopes and other animals adapted to the highland environment.
In the afternoon, continue to The Ark, a distinctive forest lodge overlooking a waterhole and salt lick. The lodge provides excellent opportunities to observe wildlife that comes to drink and feed, particularly during the evening and night.

Day 2: Aberdare – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart the Aberdare region and travel towards the spectacular Maasai Mara.
Continue through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with a stop for lunch at Lake Naivasha Country Club or another suitable location, depending on the safari arrangements.
After lunch, proceed towards the Maasai Mara and enter the reserve through the Sekenani Gate.
As you enter the Mara, the landscape transforms into vast grasslands dotted with acacia trees and wildlife. The reserve is famous for its exceptional concentration of animals and is one of Africa’s premier destinations for wildlife viewing.
Continue to your lodge for check-in and relaxation.

Day 3: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari & Hot-Air Balloon Experience

Wake up early for an unforgettable Maasai Mara hot-air balloon safari. As the sun rises, float quietly above the Mara’s expansive plains and enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the landscape and wildlife below.
From the air, you may see herds of wildebeest, zebras, giraffes and other wildlife moving across the savannah.
After landing, enjoy a memorable champagne breakfast in the wilderness before returning to the lodge.
The remainder of the day can be spent relaxing or enjoying additional game-viewing opportunities, depending on your safari schedule.
The Maasai Mara is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and many other species.
During the Great Migration season, the Mara may also host enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras moving through the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water. Migration sightings depend on seasonal conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
Return to Mara Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and travel towards Lake Nakuru National Park.
Arrive in the Lake Nakuru area and enjoy lunch before checking in at your lodge.
In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the park. Lake Nakuru is particularly well known for its rhino conservation efforts and diverse birdlife.
Keep your eyes open for White and Black Rhinos, Rothschild’s Giraffes, Leopards, Buffaloes, Waterbucks, Zebras and other wildlife.
The lake and surrounding habitats also support a variety of waterbirds, including flamingoes and pelicans. Bird numbers can vary considerably depending on water levels, food availability and seasonal conditions.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi

Begin your final day with breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.
Explore the park’s varied habitats and enjoy one final opportunity to photograph its wildlife and birdlife.
After the game drive, depart Lake Nakuru and travel back to Nairobi, enjoying lunch en route.
Arrive in Nairobi and check in at your hotel or proceed directly to your final dinner experience.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at Carnivore Restaurant, one of Nairobi’s well-known dining experiences, where you can sample a selection of grilled meats and other dishes.
After dinner, you may choose to return to your Nairobi hotel or, depending on your arrangements and interests, continue with an optional evening entertainment experience.
